The National Counselling Service

10th Anniversary Conference

The IACP is proudly sponsoring the HSE National Counselling Service 10th anniversary conference ‘Transforming the Shadows’ in Dublin Castle on Tuesday 14 September 2010.

The day will include a wide range of clinical presentations by Counsellors / Therapists working in the NCS from around the country. The conference will provide a unique opportunity to share in the professional knowledge and expertise accrued in the NCS over the last ten years and will also include a service user perspective by author Audrey Delaney.

The overarching theme of the conference is to promote a message of hope by highlighting the transformative role that counselling and psychotherapy can bring to the lives of individuals who have been impacted by traumatic experiences in childhood.

The conference will be of interest to Psychologists, Counsellors / Psychotherapists, Social Workers, General Practitioners, Mental Health Professionals and those involved in Child Protection Work. Lunch is included.
