A brief overview of the event follows:
A social / networking evening was held on Friday the 25th and feedback received was that it was a highly enjoyable evening for the 130 attendees. Many thanks to the Midlands Regional Committee (pictured in the Gallery) for successfully hosting the event. ElectionsFollowing the AGM Election, the Executive Committee for 2011/2012 is:
MotionsThe following motion was passed: The Northern Ireland Committee propose that a new reduced rate be introduced for annual subscription for Counsellors/Psychotherapists who are senior citizens over the age of 65, and that the Executive determines the reduction - in line with other professional bodies.
Carl Berkeley Memorial Award 2011The Carl Berkeley Memorial Award is open to all those who have made an outstanding contribution to the development of counselling and psychotherapy in Ireland. The recipient of the award for 2011 was Ursula O'Farrell. Many congratulations to Ursula! On the day Patricia Kennedy accepted the award on Ursula's behalf. See photo in the Gallery. The 2011 IACP AGM was held on Saturday the 26th March 2011 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Athlone, County Westmeath. The event was a great success with with over 280 members attending.
