A. Accreditation Consultants

(i) To assist applicants with their preparation for application to IACP for accreditation, IACP offers a number of services. The Accreditation Consultants List is one of these services. However, it must be emphasised that a consultation is not a guarantee that an application for accreditation to IACP will be successful.

B. How Can a Consultant Help Me?

(i) A consultant can help you to:

• clarify the IACP accreditation criteria and how they may apply to your individual case
• complete your application form with attention to detail
• present you overall application with attention to congruency and consistency
• identify where precise dates, names, and the number of counselling and supervision hours are required

C. What Is the Fee For This Service?

(i) The standard fee for a consultation of up to one hour is €50.00

(ii) Consultants may also take place by telephone for which consultants may wish to charge a pro-rata fee.

(iii) There is usually no charge for a factual query about IACP accreditation criteria which can be answered briefly.

D. Who Do I Pay?

(i) The fee is payable directly to the consultants. Any negotiation of this fee should be carried out with the consultants.

(ii) The consultants do not receive any payment from IACP for the accreditation consultants service. The individuals on this list work as private independent consultants, separate from IACP, and any queries directed to them form a private contractual arrangement, in which IACP plays no part.

E. Who Are the Consultants?

(i)The consultants have served in the past, or are still serving, in the IACP Accreditation Committee and are therefor familiar with the intricacies of accreditation preparation.
